When they start on the railway it will have a big impact, on the amount of jobs but also on the environment, and it would cut off the trails that we use to go to the hunting grounds of different animals.

The railway will affect their environment. The rapid expansion rate of shipping 30 million tons. The areas where hunters pass would be limited. The road for hunting pass through Mary River, but once the railway is approved, they won’t have options to go anywhere. If it is approved, some of the routes are not going to be used. One of their routes passes directly through Mary River, where the river is always flowing even in the winter. The project of shipping 30 million tons would be huge for them.
