From 1995 to 2007 Nunavut Independent Television Network (NITV) in Igloolik, Nunavut broadcast Nunatinni (At Our Place), a live local news and cultural affairs TV show through a community cable TV channel to Igloolik homes. Sometimes daily, sometimes a few times a week, sometimes a half-hour but usually longer, and sometimes off the air for hunting, fishing or no financing, Nunatinni aimed to be on the air by 6 pm when Iglulingmiut were home and ready to watch.
