Zacharias Kunuk talks about Inuit concerns with the proposed $6 billion Baffinland Iron Mine in Nunavut. Kunuk was born in 1957 at Kapuivik, in the middle of the Baffinland impact region. He is an award-winning filmmaker, [former] Igloolik Hamlet Councilor and Officer of the Order of Canada. Filmed in 2012.

According to Forbes magazine, he is the 21st richest person in the world and the 47th most powerful. He has a net worth of $20.7 billion dollars.
The Inuit Broadcasting Corporation provides a window to the Arctic by producing award-winning television programming by Inuit, for Inuit. Created in the late 1970's, IBC is, indeed, Nunavut’s public producer. IBC does not produce the regular fare of TV sitcoms and talk shows.… Uqalimakkanirit
