Program name: Kippinguijautiit (Things to Pass Time By): This show entertains the audience with funny and interesting stories on traditional and contemporary Inuit way of life. Kippingujautiit features northern musical talent and coverage of games and special events. Kippinguijautiit was the most popular Inuktitut language program from the audience survey conducted in 1992. Kippinguijautiit is a half-hour program for the 16 to 60 year old age group. Kippingujautiit was produced and packaged in Iqaluit with segments provided by our other production centres. 1985 – 2009 approx.

Segment 1: John Mannilaq of Taloyoak, remembers a comical incident when he had his first church communion.

Segment 2: Anita Issaluk discusses painting with canvas as well as painting rock and ceramic pottery. She concludes by performing on the guitar and harmonica.

Segment 3: Igloolik elders take on Canadian Rangers in a friendly hockey game.

Segment 4: Pangnirtung Summer Music Festival ’94. Musicians include the Uvagut Band, Jimmy Echo, Philiposie Kooneeliusie, Ismael Naulalik, Simeonie Keenainak, Peter and Susan Aningmiuq, throat singers, the Oreals, and Michael Murphy.
