English Transcript: The weather was not like this. It used to be good. Now it's different. We hunted for clothing in that area while the fur was thin. We used to row and portage. That's how it was.

Yes, they advised us well. My mother used to tell me to use my hands to measure. With no tools, hands are the best measuring tool for making clothes. I tried it and made a caribou skin parka.

Yes, of course. Our mother used to tell us: "First thing in the morning go outside", so that when we're in labour, it'll be easy. When we got out in the morning, look at the sky and see what's there. It might be different and you can see something. We were told to observe the sky in the morning.

Back then, there were lots of seagulls when we were rowing. Seagulls would be landing all around. Sometimes one would get caught while we were rowing. That time, there lots of seals and they would appear really close. Using some gun powder and getting the gun ready, they would shoot one close by. They start rowing hard. My sister and I would hold our breath so it would stay afloat. Sometimes, they would catch it before it sank. Once we have it, we would cook it at the shore with fire. We had no stoves, we cook using only fire.
