Uiguaqtuq is a technique stitching that is used for women's kamiks that is made from bleached sealskin leather. The seamstress starts off by overlapping the ends of the material.
She starts then with the needle on one side and does one stitch on top of the material, then she takes the needle to the other material and does the same thing.
The next stitch is made where the thread came out last. This stitch is most similar to the blind stitch, also known as invisible stitch.
