About
A Morning Prayer and Message for the Quickening Times
Good morning, Holy Father and Creator.
Thank You for this day and for the rest You granted me, however brief. You have allowed me to rise and breathe once more. Thank You, Jesus, for the breath of the Father and the Holy Spirit that moves through me today. Though I find my speech a bit difficult this morning, I offer these words from my heart.
Thank You, Father, for helping me find my brace, which had been lost in my mess for a month. It reminds me of a time in 1994, living at 549 West Cambie in Vancouver with my son, Dorian. It was just after the accident involving his dear mother. I was so busy, finishing the film Windigo (then titled La Chant des Silhouettes), and in the midst of that grief and work, I lost my briefcase in my own room for six weeks. It wasn't until we were moving that Dorian finally found it. Family is so important, Father. Thank You for those moments of finding what was lost, and for the sons who help us find our way.
A Prayer for the Circle of Family
Holy Father, I ask for Your divine protection over my son, Dorian, and his family. Watch over my brother Ronald and my sisters Donna and Elaine. I lift up my brother Douglas; may his shoulders continue to heal. I remember my own journey—carrying three screws in my left leg since I was eleven years old. Thank You for the strength You gave me to later become a modern dancer with the Karen Jamieson Dance Company. You take our brokenness and turn it into art.
A Prayer for the Servants of the Community
Please bless those who protect and sustain us: the police, the firefighters, the nurses, doctors, and those in food service. We are a circle, Father; we cannot live without one another.
To the Children and the Seekers
Good morning to everyone, especially the children. As school nears, remember that knowledge is the path, but wisdom is the destination. Be safe, be kind, and have courage. Each morning, we are given "sacred words"—a bundle we carry in our hearts. Love the Creator more than the pressures of this world.
An Update on the Mission: AS A KODEN
The screenplay for my film, AS A KODEN: TALKING STORY—WHO IS YOUR NAME? — kihcihkaw askî (Sacred Earth), has been streamlined. I have removed forty pages to reveal the true heart of the story. I am still seeking committed actors, crew, and partners to bring this vision to the screen.
Today, as I used the tools of technology You have provided, I was shown a sign. My experimental prologue concludes exactly at 3:33 with the words "...our people." In Your time—God’s time—nothing is an accident.
May God be with you all.
Hiy hiy.
