2009 YoungCuts Film Festival
The 2009 YoungCuts Film Festival will take place:
September 24th to October 1st, 2009 in Montreal.
The top 100 films will be screened at Cinema du Parc from:
September 25th to October 1st, 2009.
We are now accepting submissions for the 2009 YoungCuts Film Festival.
Our Early-Bird Deadline is March 15th, 2009
Our Regular Deadline is May 15th, 2009

2009 YoungCuts Application Form.
We will announce the top 100 YoungCuts films for 2009 in late July to
early August. We program films of any genre and any length, although we
prefer films under 15 minutes.
At the Festival, we award prizes in multiple categories including, but not limited to:
Best Film, Best French Film, Best Director, Best Cinematographer,
Best Editor, Best Documentary, Best Animated Film, Best Short Short,
Best Actor, Best Actress and Best Teen Film.
For 2009 Early Submissions:
Films 5 minutes and under, (Short Shorts) the submission fee is $15.
Films longer than 5 minutes, the early submission fee is $25.
All amounts in Canadian Dollars
Also note that while we only give prizes for films by film
makers 25 years and under, we will devote time to films by YoungCuts
Alumni and Friends 25 years and over. Contact us for details.
For all Films submitted:
-Please use original music, public domain music or music that you own the rights to.
-If there are cast and crew that you want to nominate for awards
(Acting, Editing, Cinematography, etc.). They must be 25 and under as
of Dec 31st, 2008 to be eligible. Please advise us of their name,
contact information and in what category you would like to nominate
them. If it was for an acting performance, please let us know the name
of their character.
-If you would like your film to be considered in the Best Teen Film category, please advise us.
-Please include with your submission:
2 DVD screeners of your film for our judges
AND
1 Data DVD with high-quality .AVI or .MOV file of your film.
(Uncompressed if possible)

YoungCuts Festival Entry Fees between March 15th and May 15th:
Films 5 minutes and under, (Short Shorts) the submission fee is $15.
Films longer than 5 minutes, but under 15 minutes the fee is $35.
Films longer than 25 minutes, the fee is $50.
We do accept films after the Regular Deadline of May 15th.
The entry fee for films of any length afyer May 15th is $50.
