Qikiqtani Truth Commission
This final video report by the Qikiqani Truth Commission which was created by the Qikiqtani Inuit Association, is to establish an accurate and balanced history of the decisions and events that affected Inuit living in the Qikiqtani region in the decades following 1950 and to document the impacts on Inuit life, over the years.
The commission traveled to all 13 Qikiqtani Communities, reflected on the testimony of more than 300 individuals and reviewed thousands of pages from government historical records.
