First Peoples' Festival
This year's festival, now in its 19th edition, runs from June 11th to June 21st, 2009.
Terres en vues/Land InSights organizes the annual First Peoples' Festival, a ten-day celebration of Indigenous cultures from throughout the three Americas. Each June the enchanting and culturally diverse metropolis of Montréal provides a gathering space where connections are formed and reinforced between many nations.
The festival offers the public the opportunity to experience the imagination sof First Peoples through films and documentaries, exhibitions and concerts, debates and encounters, interactive activities at the outdoor site in Parc Émelie-Gamelin, the celebration of the National Day in Solidarity with Indigenous Peoples on June 21st, and the list goes on.
