Nunatsiakmiut Community Television Society / Nunatsiakmiut Film Society was launched in Frobisher Bay in 1975. This was the earliest Inuit filmmaking group in the Eastern Arctic. Nunatsiakmiut means ‘People From the Beautiful Land.’
