Segment 1: This is a documentary about the time when Inuit lost all authority over their everyday lives to the Government. People and leaders are interviewed about the changes that have come. Some had both negative and positive experiences with the new changes. This is a very interesting video about this time and the formation of communities in the Arctic.
The Inuit Broadcasting Corporation, established in Canada's territory of Nunavut, has been producing Inuit language video, by, for and about Inuit since 1981.
