CLACPI the oldest and largest Latin American organization for Indigenous Film and Media

Integrated by many organizations in Latin America, CLACPI (Coordinadora Latinoamericana de Cine y Comunicación de los Pueblos Indígenas) promotes community-based media, particularly video production, as a way to preserve and enhance indigenous cultures from their own point of view. Since 1985 CLACPI organizes Indigenous Film + Video Festivals about every two years.

From Cuba, the video collection of TELEVISIÓN SERRANA

On January 15th 2019, Television Serrana (“Television of the mountains”) celebrated its 26th year of operation, from the highest mountain system in Cuba.

From Brazil, the Video Collection from 'VIDEO IN THE VILLAGES'

Video in the Villages was founded in 1987, the project began with the introduction of video in indigenous communities that produced documentaries for their own purposes. In 1995, the opening of a space on educational TV in Cuiabá, led the project to produce the "Indigenous Program," an original experience for the first time on Brazilian television.
