In this presentation, Lindsay DuPre outlines the Connected North program with Cisco Canada and TakingITGlobal.

The Arctic Indigenous Education Conference, held this year in Guovdageaidnu (or Kautokeino in Norwegian), gathers resourceful people from the indigenous world to meet and share experiences within the field of education, from early childhood on to higher education. The conference was streamed by Sami University College.

The primary objective of The Arctic Indigenous Education Conference is to look at results achieved so far, recognize examples of good practice, and identify problems and challenges and propose new perspectives in the area of indigenous arctic education. The organizers are hoping to bring together new theoretical approaches and practical models of arctic indigenous education with Arctic and worldwide perspectives.
