Weeneebeg Aboriginal Film & Video Festival 2009
The Weeneebeg Aboriginal Film and Video Festival is a grassroots community festival that celebrates film and video that addresses the land, language, culture, its people and way of life which is special and uniqe to the James Bay area. The 2009 Weeneebeg Aboriginal Film and Video Festival a five- day event that includes an audience of local and regional people from different areas of Northern Ontario along with invited filmmakers.
The name ‘Weeneebeg’ for the festival is a traditional Cree word used to describes the waters and area of James Bay coast.
