Segment 1: Inullariit Committee hosts an event in Igloolik celebrating the return of the sun. The Inullariit Committee builds a qaggiq (large community Igloo) using newly formed ice. A youth group of Ataguttaaluk school perform drum dancing accompanied with ajaaja songs and present a traditional Inuit clothing fashion show and conclude with square dancing.

The Inuit Broadcasting Corporation, established in Canada's territory of Nunavut, has been producing Inuit language video, by, for and about Inuit since 1981. This video is from their collection and has been made available on the Internet for your enjoyment through funding provided by the Government of Canada and the Government of Nunavut.
