Program name: Qimaivvik
Qimaivvik was a cultural show produced in Baker Lake or Igloolik, but included segments from all of IBC’s centres. Topics included: storytelling, hunting and sewing techniques, legends, language, and other traditional practices such as igloo building, etc.
Producer: Taloyoak – Inuit Broadcasting Corporation

Segment 1: Martha (Paniarq) Ittimangnarq and Bibiane (Niveovak) Marniq talk about how their lives were before contact. Niveovak does most of the storytelling.

The Inuit Broadcasting Corporation, established in Canada's territory of Nunavut, has been producing Inuit language video, by, for and about Inuit since 1981. This video is from their collection and has been made available on the Internet for your enjoyment through funding provided by the Government of Canada and the Government of Nunavut.
