Uiguarni kajusijuq - Stitching continued

About

12 April 2015

Sewing kamiks using this stitch, the seamstress takes care that both ends are still even and that she did not take more of one material on one side. She makes sure
her stitches are neat that way. The technique is also making sure that the gaps are short in a way that the needle is placed pretty close to the one above. This stitching is used most in nalua, women's kamiks made with bleached sealskin leather. The material can be substituted with factory made leather, or even white fabric.
