Segment 1: Peter Komak from the Arviat area talks about how it was before contact with outsiders. He tells about hunting and what uses the animals had to the whole community or group. He also talks about survival skills.
Segment 2: This shows the landmarks in the area of Arviat. Owingayak explains the markers that were put on the land. They are recent markers with painted wood and names of places put on the painted wood. This is for people who are out hunting. This was a project put in place by community members since 1976.
Segment 3: Louis Ulayuyuak talks about survival skills. He also talks about what to do when lost on the land while hunting.
Segment 4: Andy Mamgak talks about the care of the environment and the animals.
Segment 5: Elders’ Committee Chair Suluk talks about rearing children. They are on the local radio talking about Inuit culture.
