Segment 1: Arctic Bay elects a new Member of the Legislature of Nunavut in a bi-election. Rebecca Williams is the successful candidate.
Segment 2: Pauktutit Inuit Women’s Association of Canada meet in Iqaluit to discuss the health effects of smoking.
Segment 3: Jack Anawak is the Minister of Community Government and the Justice department. One of his mandates is to introduce the new single time zone to the communities. The Government of Nunavut is proposing a single time zone across the new territory. Most residents in the western part of the Nunavut Territory are unhappy about the change citing it will be too dark in the morning.
Segment 4: Donald Havioyak, member of the Nunavut Legislative Assembly representing Kugluktuk, expresses his concern about the single time zone across the Nunavut Territory.
Segment 5: School principal De Silava, expresses his concern to the single time zone mandate. Paul Quassa is the President of Nunavut Tunngavik and says a motion was carried at the NTI general meeting to support the Nunavut Government on this initiative.
