Program name: Qimaivvik
Qimaivvik was a cultural show produced in Baker Lake or Igloolik, but included segments from all of IBC’s centres. Topics included: storytelling, hunting and sewing techniques, legends, language and other traditional practices such as igloo building, etc.

Segment 1: In 1999, Thomas Ugjuk relates a story about arriving in Baker Laker when it was first settled as a community. He talks about the early years and how it was before settlements started receiving houses. He tells about his and his father’s visit.
Segment 2: The late Nancy Mannik with her granddaughter, Marjorie Nattak, and the Mannik family from Baker Lake cook outside, make tea and camp.
Segment 3: Kitikmeot drummers and dancers at the Ikaluktutiak Music Festival in Cambridge Bay.
