Qimaivvik was a cultural show produced in Baker Lake or Igloolik, but included segments from all of IBC’s centres. Topics included: storytelling, hunting and sewing techniques, legends, language, and other traditional practices such as igloo building, etc.

Segment 1: In Baker Lake, Fanny Arnatqik Arnasungaaq and Julie Hannguhaaq talk about their life stories. Fanny also shares about her hardships and what she endured while she was a young wife.

Segment 2: The elders in Taloyoak were taken on a field trip outside the community to have a picnic. They enjoy fishing.

Segment 3: People from Igloolik go fishing. They enjoy the spring weather with their families.

The Inuit Broadcasting Corporation, established in Canada's territory of Nunavut, has been producing Inuit language video, by, for and about Inuit since 1981.
