Segment 1: In 2002, the communities of Igloolik and Hall Beach combine to harvest a bowhead whale under the Nunavut Land Claims Agreement. They are shown getting ready for the hunt and the communities celebration after the successful hunt and enjoying the feast of bowhead whale “maktak.”
Segment 2: The Queen Elizabeth visit to Iqaluit, Nunavut, in 2002. This was her second visit since 1974. She does the unveiling of the street named after her and also the monument beside the Legislative Assembly of Nunavut.
The Inuit Broadcasting Corporation, established in Canada's territory of Nunavut, has been producing Inuit language video, by, for and about Inuit since 1981.
