Producer: Kippinguijautiit (Things to Pass Time By): This show entertains the audience with funny and interesting stories on traditional and contemporary Inuit way of life. Kippingujautiit features northern musical talent and coverage of games and special events. Kippinguijautiit was the most popular Inuktitut language program from the audience survey conducted in 1992. Kippinguijautiit is a half-hour program for the 16 to 60 year old age group. Kippingujautiit was produced and packaged in Iqaluit with segments provided by our other production centres. 1985 – 2009 approx.

Segment 1: Baker Lake hosts a fishing derby. Baker Lake resident Tookoomik shares his opinion that fishing derbies are harmful because he believes that a prime Inuit food source shouldn’t reduced by a contest.
Segment 2: Dominic Qasarluaq recalls a story about the time he met a spiritual being – Ijiralik.
Segment 3: The circus arrives in Iqaluit.
Segment 4: Different bands perform during a Kugluktuk music concert, including the Arviat Band.
