Segment 1: When spring comes, some animals migrate further north in the Arctic after a long, cold, harsh winter: spring birds, animals on the land and sea mammals. This segment shows Joe Esaluk and his family out camping during spring. He knows both traditional and modern lifestyles. He is a hunter and a mechanic in his hometown with the Hamlet.
