Qimaivvik was a cultural show produced in Baker Lake or Igloolik, but included segments from all of IBC’s centres. Topics included: storytelling, hunting and sewing techniques, legends, language, and other traditional practices such as igloo building, etc.

Segment 1: In 1985, Arcie Angalik interviews Leo Aamaq, who teaches shop class in school. He is teaching children to make mini-qamutiit (sleds) and fish jigging handles.

Segment 1: Students from a southern town come up to Arviat on a student exchange. They are shown a variety of activities that are normal to Inuit students, such as making sleds or tanning caribou skins. They are also taken out on a snowmobile.
