X INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL OF INDIGENOUS FILM AND VIDEO

The Confederation of Indigenous Nationalities of Ecuador, CONAIE, in collaboration with the CONAIE Communications Department, is promoting an indigenous audiovisual project—The X International Festival of Indigenous Film and Video. This project, led and organized by indigenous peoples, will communicate the visions and interests of indigenous communities and nationalities.

• Objectives:

The objectives of the X Festival are to:

    * Promote multinational communication and spread the traditions, values, worldviews, ways of life, and challenges of indigenous peoples in order to advance intercultural dialogue and understanding.

    * Educate, entertain, inspire, and support the indigenous communities, and to celebrate the human spirit in all of its forms.

    * Interchange ideas and experiences about utilizing the different forms of indigenous communication to analyze the advancements in fulfilling indigenous rights.

Traveling Exhibition to different organizations and provinces in Ecuador

VII International Indigenous Film and Communication Summit

Music and Dance Summit of Indigenous Peoples and Nationalities

Photography Exposition of Indigenous Peoples and Nationalities

International Forum on Climate Change and Communication from the perspectives of Indigenous Peoples.
