Segment 1: In a tent, Elders (including Mariano Aupilardjuk of Rankin Inlet) teach young men how to bend a wood frame for making an Inuit drum using hot water. They also shave the wood, drill it, and attach it together with what looks a thick sinew thread. They attach the end of an ivory tusk for the handle and prepare and attach the synthetic drum fabric.

The Inuit Broadcasting Corporation, established in Canada's territory of Nunavut, has been producing Inuit language video, by, for and about Inuit since 1981.
