Install site questionnaire

Note: This is a first draft work in progress and expected to change.

 

  1.  What type of building is the local server to be installed in? (School, community center, cafe, etc)
  2. How many buildings does your site consist of?
  3. Is there currently wireless coverage over your whole site?
  4. If not, do you want us to provide wireless coverage over your whole site?
  5. What is the distance between the building where the local server will be installed and the furthest building away from it on your site?
  6. How many people are normally present at your site at during its peak hours?
  7. Will people outside this site, in the larger community, be permitted to connect to the local server?
  8. How many computers are connected via a wired network connection at your site?
  9. How many computers are connected via a wireless connection (or will be, if wireless is not currently present) at your site?
  10. How many people will be connecting via wireless from outside your site (if applicable)?
  11. What is the distance between the building where the local server will be installed and the furthest point outside your site where wireless users will be connecting from (if applicable)?
  12. Do you currently have an Internet connection at the site? If so, who is your Internet Service Provider and which plan do you have? Please indicate upload and download bandwidth if known.
  13. What is the site's external IP address?
  14. How much of your available bandwith is used during peak hours?
  15. What is the structure of the current network at your site? If it is more complicated than a single router/access point, please include a network map. If you need assistance creating a network map, please contact us.
  16. If it is only a single router, what is the internal IP address of the router and what is the DHCP address range?
  17. Would you like to boardcast content from isuma.tv on your local community cable television station?
  18. What is the distance between the localtion of the local server on your site and the community television station?
  19. Please provide the contact information of the community television station (if applicable).
  20. Is there an existing wired or wireless connection between your site and the community television station? (if applicable)

Other questions whose answers we can obtain from official statics:

  1. Population of community
  2. Average and record low temperatures
  3. Map of the community w/ building heights
