A hard-hitting episode that looks at how the Canadian ‘system’ (police, justice, legal, safe houses, therapy, counselling among some of the areas) has been failing Inuit women. The directors talk to activists, politicians, legal experts and front-line workers who are trying to change the reality of a failed ‘system’. Exploring concepts like restorative justice, and programs to help women get back on their feet and find strength in their cultural and personal identity, we look at how the ‘system’ could be reshaped to better help those in need.
