Rebuilding Trust, Voice, and Future Generations Through the Arts

For more than forty-five years, I have worked as an Indigenous filmmaker, actor, playwright, musician, modern dancer, educator, and community artist. Throughout that journey, I have come to believe that storytelling is far more than entertainment—it is a path toward healing, cultural continuity, leadership, and nation-building.

The Indigenous Cultural Leadership Institute is the next stage of that lifelong vision.

Rather than functioning as a traditional film school, the Institute brings together professional artists, Elders, health and wellness practitioners, educators, and community mentors to train Indigenous youth, adults, and Elders through the creation of meaningful artistic work.

Participants receive interdisciplinary training in:

• Film Production
• Theatre and Acting
• Storytelling and Creative Writing
• Music and Sound Recording
• Modern Dance and Movement
• Radio Arts and Podcasting
• Production Design
• Digital Media and Artificial Intelligence
• Leadership and Community Development

Training culminates in professional productions, allowing participants to gain real-world experience while helping create feature films, theatre productions, documentaries, music recordings, and cultural archives that preserve Indigenous knowledge for future generations.

Current creative projects include:

• As A Koden: Talking Story, Who Is Your Name?
• Métis Winter Morning
• Warm Up The Ice Cream
• Schoolyards and Oldtown
• Additional film, theatre, radio, music, and archival initiatives developed through Eagle Feathers Film & Music Manufacturing Corporation and TILMCOM.comes from foster care shares a great
