"What are we witnessing today in this digital world of truth and Newspeak?"

Join filmmaker and composer Donald Morin in the sweeping opening movement of As A Koden: Talking Story — Who Is Your Name? This cinematic sequence explores the encroaching "Heart of Darkness" in a world where value is reduced to pure economics and truth is masked by Orwellian "Newspeak."
Drawing an analogy to the Two Row Wampum—two nations paddling down the same river—the film bridges the apocalyptic fire of the Two Witnesses with the lived reality of the Salish, Cree, and Saulteaux people. From the sacred dirt of Treaty 6 territory to the surveillance grids of the modern city, the "Old Human Soul" stands as a witness to sovereignty, memory, and the enduring power of the Land.
This sequence features an original score composed by Morin in 1992, readapted for this symphonic rock/metal vision. It is a call to faith and hope beyond the darkness.
