Executive Producer, Community News and Current Affairs
The Executive Producer, Community News and Current Affairs, is part of the Community News and Current Affairs team for NITV / Uvagut TV. This team encompasses several production staff and contractors, located throughout the country, who produce live and pre-recorded shows including news and current affairs as well as community original content such as documentary one-offs or series, low budget drama, artistic work, and animation. The Executive Producer, Community News and Current works closely with the regional production teams to provide high-level production support on concepts, technical implementation, packaging and presentation of both live and pre-recorded shows for broadcast.

The Producer/Host is part of a small community production team to produce and host local news and current affairs shows, and original content, that is ready for broadcast. This is an on-air camera personality required to host live weekly TV shows. The Producer/Host is responsible for actively researching and developing story ideas that are relevant, timely, and engaging for the target audience. This includes staying informed about current events, community issues, and cultural trends, as well as identifying compelling angles and voices for coverage. Researching stories also involves verifying facts, sourcing background information, and collaborating with producers and journalists to ensure accuracy and depth in reporting.
Production Technician, Community News and Current Affairs
The Production Technician is part of a small community production team to produce and host local news and current affairs shows, and original content, that is ready for broadcast. This is a technical role involving the professional operation of broadcast quality video, audio, lighting and streaming equipment. Production work included weekly live shows, as well as pre-recorded and edited community content for broadcast. The Production Technician is also part of a team working to prepare and develop story ideas that are relevant, timely, and engaging for the target audience. This includes staying informed about current events, community issues, and cultural trends, as well as identifying compelling angles and voices for coverage.
